This set of two Viking Age leg wrap hooks with a cross motif is faithfully crafted from an Anglo-Saxon find from England dating to the 10th century.The calf wrapping hooks were attached to the end of the woollen leg wraps at the knee and ensured a secure fit on the trouser leg.

Calf wraps were worn by men and women alike during the Viking Age among the Anglo-Saxons as well as in Scandinavia, and can be found in the Rus areas as well as in England and the Scandinavian region.
The small eyelets make it easy to sew the hook to the top of the leg wraps and its long needle keeps it securely in place.
