This authentic replica of a Germanic comb made of real bone is based on an Imperial Period find from the excavation of Buch near Berlin.The historical model for the Germanic bone comb / leg comb dates from the 2nd century, and thus from the Roman imperial period.

The comb has a small hole in the middle. Presumably the bone comb was provided with a ribbon and worn around the neck or fastened to the belt.
The Germanic bone comb is elaborately handcrafted and is also ideal as a beard comb due to its size.
