Magnificent belt based on the find from Sutton Hoo.

This magnificent leather belt is inspired by the model of a precious buckle from the Anglo-Saxon ship tomb of Sutton Hoo.

The Sutton Hoo belt is a successful interpretation of the historical model. The buckle follows the Germanic design language of the original and elegantly combines it with the raven fittings of the Sutton Hoo bag to form a successful symbiosis.

The 5 cm wide Sutton Hoo belt is made of high-quality cowhide leather 3 - 3.5 mm thick and is available in black or brown, with a brass or silver-coloured buckle and fittings of zinc alloy.

The Sutton Hoo belt is 5 cm wide and available in four sizes.

Belt S circumference 85 - 97 cm
Belt M circumference 95 - 107 cm
Belt L circumference 105 - 117 cm
Belt XL circumference 115 - 127 cm

Sutton Hoo is an archaeological site in East Anglia, England, excavated in 1939 and comprising a total of 18 burial mounds, including the famous Sutton Hoo Boat Burial, where remarkably well-preserved and high-quality Anglo-Saxon artefacts have been found, showing native and Irish influences as well as Scandinavian, Merovingian and East Mediterranean backgrounds.

It is likely that the boat grave at Sutton Hoo was the burial place of the Anglican ruler Raedwald, who held power in East Anglia between 617 and 625. The most famous finds from this tomb are probably the helmet, bag and belt of Sutton Hoo, but many other precious artefacts have also been recovered.
