The buckle and strap end on this Merovingian belt is made from an early medieval find from the 5th - 6th century.In contrast to the historical original, this belt from the Merovingian period is equipped with a buckle with a spike and not with a spike plate, as is usually found in the find material.
The Merovingian leather belt is 3 cm wide and long enough to be worn wrapped.
