Early medieval belt in 3 cm width with strap end.
This remarkable early medieval belt with strap end is based on the find of the buckle from Lagore, which comes from Ireland and dates to the 7th-8th century. The original buckle from Lagore had a long bar with an eyelet and measured 18 cm. It was suitable for belts 1.5 cm wide.
Our replica of the belt buckle, on the other hand, has larger dimensions of 10.8 x 4.2 cm. The end of the belt was worked in the same style.

The Lagore belt buckle is now in the possession of the National Museum of Ireland.
