This Roman cingulum is based on models from around the turn of the millennium and features a buckle replica, 9 rectangular fittings and a triquetra fitting.The Roman legionary belt was called a cingulum in Roman antiquity and was usually studded all around with decorative rivets and a buckle.
This cingulum is also adorned with a replica of a Roman belt buckle, which is complemented on the opposite side by a Roman triquetra mount. All around, the legionary belt has 9 rectangular belt fittings.
The Roman legionary belt is available in brown or black leather, with metal parts in brass or silver-coloured zinc alloy.
Two embossed lines along the edges of the belt give the Roman cingulum a pleasing, slim appearance.
The Roman legionary belt is made of the best cowhide leather of 3 to 3.5 mm thickness and is an ideal companion for historical garb in Roman re-enactment.
