Wide leather belt from the Viking Age with fittings.
This 4.5 cm wide leather belt from the Viking Age is made of high-quality cowhide in 3 to 3.5 mm thickness. The belt buckle for this wide Viking belt is based on a find from the monastery of Værne in southern Norway, dating to the beginning of the 9th century.
The belt tip mount is an interpretation of a Viking-era strap end from Rygge in Østfold, Norway, which also dates to the 9th century.
The three fittings on the end of the belt are modelled on a disc brooch in the Jelling style, which dates to the 10th century and is known from several Viking Age sites.
The 4.5 cm wide belt of the Viking Age is available in two sizes:
S: 165 cm - circumference 92 - 107 cm
L: 180 cm - circumference 105 - 120 cm
The Viking Age leather belt is available in brown or black with brass or silver-coloured buckle and fittings made of zinc alloy.
