Rus belt with strap end and fittings of the Viking Age
This Rus belt made of cowhide has a buckle from Novgorod and a matching strap end and fittings.The belt buckle, strap end and three decorative studs on this belt date from the 10th to 11th century and are typical of the belts of the Rus in the Ukraine and western Russia during the Viking Age.
The 1.5 cm narrow Rus belt is made of black or brown cowhide leather 2.5 - 3 mm thick, with a silver or brass-coloured zinc alloy belt buckle and fittings
Belt circumference: 88 - 103 cm (total length 160 cm).
The Rus belt has a generous length and can therefore be worn wrapped. Suited Perfectly for authentic garb in Viking reenactment. Two embossed lines along the sides also give the Viking-era belt a slim line.
