Belt from the time of the Houppelande with strap end.
This 5.5 cm wide leather belt, that you can buy here, has a slender buckle with an artistically pierced rivet plate and a suitably designed strap tongue, as was typical for the belts of the late Gothic period.The Houppelande was a historical garment of Burgundian origin, worn in women's clothing during the medieval Gothic period in the late 15th century in upper middle-class and aristocratic circles, combined with a very wide and often richly shod belt.
Four belt lengths are available:
XS: Circumference 71 - 83 cm - Total length 97.5 cm
S: Circumference 81 - 93 cm - Total length 107.5 cm
M: Circumference 91 - 103 cm - Total length 117.5 cm
L: Circumference 101 - 113 cm - Total length 127.5 cm
The medieval belt is made of a supple leather of 2.2 to 2.5 mm thickness.
The belt is available in black or brown with a silver or brass buckle made of zinc alloy
