Replica of an Anglo-Saxon serpent amulet.
This detailed replica of a disc-shaped pendant with the depiction of serpents is made after an Anglo-Saxon find from the Viking Age, that dates to the 10th century AD.In the centre, the Anglo-Saxon amulet bears the depiction of four serpents entwined together in a knot. The number four could refer to the four points of the compass, the snakes to the Midgard serpent, which spans the world.
The original of the Anglo-Saxon serpent amulet is now in the possession of the British Museum in England.
