Viking leather necklace with lunula pendant.
The 4 mm wide Viking necklace has expressive end caps in the shape of raven heads holding a Viking amulet in their mouths. The historical model for the raven head chain ends is made according to the Viking treasure trove of Terslev on Zealand / Denmark which dates back to the 10th century. The original is shown in the Danish National Museum.
The cruciform pendant is a so-called Lunitsa (or Lunula), a Slavic moon pendant, made from an original find by Kiever Rus. The Lunitsa amulet is of Slavic origin and spread throughout the Baltic Sea region during the 10th century.
Instead of the supplied lunitsa-amulet, another piece of jewellery can also be hooked into the necklace if its eyelet measures more than 3 mm.
All you have to do is bend the Omega hooks that connect the two mouths a little bit and then you attach any pendant.
The braided Viking necklace is available in timeless matte black with silvered parts or a nice antique brown with parts of quality bronze.
The pendant measures 3.6 x 3.0 cm.
The leather cord is made from 4 mm braided leather and available in two lengths.
With 50 cm cord: The necklace is close to the neck and is closed with hook-and-eye closure.
With 65 cm cord: The necklace reaches to the chest and is placed over the head as a whole.
