Viking troll cross forged from iron.
This typical and beautifully crafted troll cross is forged by hand from a piece of iron according to historical models of the time of the Viking Era.The troll cross is available in three different sizes and comes with a solid leather strap so that you can wear the forged pendant comfortably around your neck.
The dimensions are 3.5 x 2.4 cm (small), 4.5 x 3 (medium) and 5.0 x 3.5 (large).
Trolls are not really malicious, but they cause a lot of trouble: they make things disappear, creak in the woodwork at night, make livestock nervous and turn the milk sour.
Trolls are said to be particularly common in the deep and dark forests of Scandinavia. But trolls abhor iron. And in crossed form, its unpleasant effect is intensified.
So the Vikings often wore a forged troll cross on a leather strap around their necks to arm themselves against the unpleasant trolls, but also against diseases and curses.
Or they simply nailed such a troll cross to the doors of the house and stable. Even today, in Iceland and Norway, people like to hang or paint a troll cross above the stable doors.
