Anglo-Saxon finger ring from the Viking Age.
This enchanting knotted finger ring was made after the model of Anglo-Saxon rings as they were common in the early Middle Ages and the Viking period during the 7th and 8th century. The knotted Anglo-Saxon rings, which were the inspiration for this finger ring, were masterly made from a thin piece of wire and artfully interwoven to form a knot. Our ring takes up this design, but is cast in one piece.
The Anglo-Saxon finger ring measures 13 mm at its widest point and is available in 3 sizes.
The early medieval finger ring is not closed at the bottom, but has parallel ends that overlap each other by about 12 mm. Thus, the diameter can easily be reduced or enlarged by a few ring sizes - making this beautiful ring suitable for almost any finger with only three different sizes.
