Short description
Ugunskrusts earrings in the form of a small fire cross based on historical motifs from the Baltic region. Bronze, silver-plated or sterling silver. 4 x 1.8 cm.
Productdetails...

Earrings in the shape of the Ugunskrusts fire cross.

Here you can buy a pair of earrings with the Ugunskrusts, the so-called fire cross after historical models from the Baltic region.

The Latvian term Ugunskrusts means fire cross. It is also known as a pērkonkrusts, or thunder cross, and is thus associated with Perun or Perkūnas, the Finnish god of thunder.

The fire cross is a Baltic variant of the swastika and comes in countless variations. It is still considered an ancient symbol of good luck in the Baltic States and is still traditionally used in Latvia and Lithuania to decorate objects and clothing.

Link to historical models...

The Balts associate the fire cross with luck, light and goodness. Other meanings include movement, energy, fire and thunder. The fire cross is said to protect its wearer in all situations, give them strength and help them achieve their goals.

You can buy the earrings in high-quality bronze or genuine silver-plated.
Alternatively, they can also be ordered in 925 sterling silver (6-8 weeks).

The fire cross earrings measure 4 x 1.8 cm including the hook.

For the Germanic tribes, the swastika was a symbol of the sun and therefore prosperity, fertility and luck. However, the swastika can also be found in many other cultures and is considered a sacred symbol in India and Japan, for example.

However, the special form of the fire cross with its numerous variations is only limited to the Baltic region. These varied swastika motifs are still typical of Lithuanian and Latvian folk tradition today.
