Temple rings of the Slavs in a large version.

These simple temple rings were made true to detail according to historical models from the Middle Ages.

During the Middle Ages, such temple rings were a common part of the costumes of the Slavic peoples and were still in use there until the 12th century.

But temple rings were also worn in the early Middle Ages, not only by Slavs, but also by Germanic peoples such as the Franks and Alemanni. This is why temple rings are often found in southern German finds.

In general, temple rings were simply knotted into the hair and worn in pairs or several along the temples, which is where their name comes from. However, they were also braided into a headband or scarf.

The temple ring measures 3.2 x 2.6 cm and comes as a pair.

Made of bronze and in real silver-plated.
