Slavic temple rings in extra large version.

These replicas of Slavic temple rings were made true to detail after a model from the Middle Ages.

In the Middle Ages, temple rings were a typical costume component of the Slavic peoples and were still used until the 12th century.

Temple rings were not only worn by the Slavs, but were also used by the Franks and Alemannic tribes in the early Middle Ages. This is why they are often found in southern German finds.

As a rule, the temple ring was simply braided into the hair and worn in pairs or several along the temples, from which its name is derived. However, temple rings could also be woven into a headband or scarf.

The temple ring measures 4 x 3.3 cm and comes as a pair.

Made of bronze and in real silver-plated.
