The Viking stave chain has a total length of 20 cm. The individual chain link is 4.9 cm long and connected with rings 0.5 cm in diameter.
To create a longer chain is also possible by simply connecting additional chain links together.
We recommend our small S-hook for attaching to the brooch and pendant. This can also be used to add further chain links as an alternative to a small eyelet.
The length of the chain is ideal for wearing a needle box at waist height attached to a brooch, which was typical of women's clothing in the Viking Age.
You can buy the stave chain in high-quality bronze or genuine silver-plated.
