Viking double ring chain based on historical models.
Here you can buy an authentic replica of a Viking chain of bronze, whose historical models can be found all over the Baltic region and are known from the Baltic, Gotland and Birka, among other places.The chain rings have a diameter of 5.5 mm and a thickness of 1 mm.
The Viking chain is available in any length in 1 cm increments.
For example:
1 piece = 1 cm.
10 pieces = 10 cm.
100 pieces = 100 cm etc.
Depending on the length, the chain is suitable for different applications.
A chain of 30 cm length (= 30 pieces) is suitable, for example, to let a Viking functional pendant such as a needle box or ear spoon hang down from the bowl brooches. This length of chain can also be stretched between two cup brooches and a pendant can be attached to it.
A chain of 50 cm length (= 50 pieces) is very suitable as a necklace (= 50 pieces). Our S-hook can be used to fasten it.
A chain of 100 cm length (= 100 pieces) in combination with the two shorter chains makes a complete chain hanging, which can be hung on the bowl yokes, as it was common in the Viking Age, especially in the Baltic and Finnish regions.
Another possibility is to use small sections as a suspension for a Viking knife scabbard.
If necessary, the mounting rings from our range can also be attached to the ends, which are easier to hang on the pins of the bowl brooches.
All you need for mounting are two small needle-nose pliers or flat-nose pliers with which to bend the rings open a little.
