Replica of a Viking mask amulet of Odin.

This expressive Viking jewellery is made after an artefact from the treasure of Fölhagen on Gotland and dates to the 9th - 10th century.

In 1866, a copper vessel was found in Fölhagen near Roma Monastery on Gotland. It contained the so-called Treasure of Fölhagen weighing 4 kg, in which, in addition to hack silver and a small gold ingot, there were also several coins and 13 face-shaped pendants.

Very similar mask amulets are also found in the Russian Kremlin treasure.

Dimensions of the mask amulet from Gotland: 4 x 2.2 cm.

You can buy this Viking pendant in high-quality bronze or real silver-plated.
Alternatively, also available in 925 sterling silver (Please note the delivery time).
Alloy...

A black leather strap of 1 m length is included.

Several mask pendants and face amulets are known from the Viking Age, often in bearded form, although their meaning is not certain. It is interesting, however, that many of these mask amulets were found in the context of warrior burials, so the assumption may suggest that this could possibly be a representation of the battle god Odin.
