Amulet with the figure of a Vendel Era warrior.
This expressive pendant with the depiction of a Vendel Era warrior was modelled on the historical helmet plate from Torslunda / Sweden from the 6th century.In 1870, four different bronze helmet plates were found in a burial mound on the Björnhovda farm near Torslunda on the Swedish island of Öland. These were once used as matrices for the production of the thin plates that decorated the Vendel Era helmets of Valsgäde and Vendel in Sweden and Sutton Hoo in England, among others.

The four helmet plates of Torslunda give a good insight into the world of old sagas and ceremonies at Germanic courts.
For example, the helmet plates show a kind of cultic dance, which can be seen in the ritually decorated helmets, the so-called weapon dancer and the wolf disguises.
These "wolf skinners" are related to the legendary Berserkers, who were characterised by an exuberant fighting fury, and are an expression of the cultic-ecstatic Germanic masked warriorism.
The designation "Odin's warriors" for the berserkers supports this statement, since Odin is, among other things, the god of ecstasy, the signs of which the berserker rage also possesses.
