Replica of the famous Viking Thorshammer from Rømersdal on the Danish island of Bornholm.The original Thor's hammer from Rømersdal is now in the Danish National Museum in Copenhagen and is regarded as one of the most famous Thorshammer finds.

The Thor's hammer was the magical hammer of the god Thor - he used it to fight the enemies of the gods. The Vikings also called the Thor's hammer Mjölnir, which means malmer or lightning.
Especially in the 10th century, the Thor's hammer enjoyed great popularity among the Vikings as a magical amulet, also to distinguish themselves as pagans from the emerging Christianism.
