The hammer pendant measures approx. 6 x 2.4 x 1 cm.
The end of the handle is forged into an eyelet. This allows you to wear the forged hammer pendant around your neck as a pendant with the included leather cord.
Forged iron hammer pendants were already widespread in the Viking Age and very popular as amulets symbolising the Norse god Thor. By wearing a hammer pendant, the wearer showed that he distanced himself as a pagan from the spreading Christianity.
Thor's hammer was also called Mjölnir, which meant crusher or lightning, because it was the magical war hammer of the Norse god Thor, with which he fought the giants and the Midgard serpent at the end of the world.
