The Ukrainian Falcon Amulet follows the formal language of the Art Deco style of the 1930s, in commemoration of the Holodomar, that terrible time that already brought terrible suffering, loss and displacement to Ukraine.
On the back the amulet shows the Ukrainian tryzub and on the wings there is a Cyrillic inscription with the Ukrainian official call "Slava Ukrajini! Herojam Slava!" - "Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!"

The Tryzup is the small national emblem of Ukraine, which came into force with the Constitution of Ukraine adopted in 1996 and is based on a design by the artist V. Krycevskyj from 1918.
However, the roots of the Tryzup go much further, as the earliest evidence dates back to the Rus period around 1000 AD and was found on rulers' emblems and coins of the Rurikids, who had a stylized trident as their coat of arms.
The meaning of the Tryzup has not really been clarified to this day, but there are many legends. It is assumed that the Ukrainian trident is of Tatar origin and represents a stylized falcon. In modern readings, the Trysub is also said to represent the word WOLJA / ВОЛЯ, for Ukrainian freedom.
