The Venus of Dolní Věstonice is a small ceramic Venus figurine estimated to be between 25,000 and 29,000 years old and is kept in the Moravian National Museum in Brno.
The Venus of Věstonice was found in 1925 during archaeological excavations in a camp of Stone Age mammoth hunters in Moravia, in what is now Okres Břeclav.
It is 11.10 cm high and resembles the shape of other Stone Age Venus figures with protruding breasts and hips without individual facial features. Comparable finds are the Venus of Willendorf in Lower Austria or the Venus of Moravany from Slovakia.
Interestingly, a fingerprint was found on the back of the figure, which in its freshly formed state was from an 11- to 14-year-old adolescent.
