Germanic swastika pendant with snake motif.
This Germanic swastika pendant features an openwork snake motif and is modelled on an Alemannic disc from southern Germany.Alemannic decorative discs with openwork motifs were widespread during the early Middle Ages from 500 to 700 AD and were considered an integral part of the Alemannic women's costume.

The swastika pendant is made of cast zinc alloy and is available in brass or silver colour.
Pendant diameter: 4.5 cm.

The snake has played an important role in mythology and the performing arts in the Germanic world since the Bronze Age and was associated with ancient fertility rites, representing the return of life in spring and its death in winter.
