Roman dolphin charm in the form of a Triskele.

Here you can buy a Roman dolphin charm in the shape of a Triskele was made after a Roman find from the 2nd to 3rd century.

The historical model for this Roman dolphin pendant was a large ornamental disc from a private collection and was possibly a phalera of a Roman sword belt, or was maybe used as a fitting.

The three dolphins arranged in a circle on the pendant are reminiscent of a Celtic triskele, which was very popular with the Romans in the late 2nd century due to Celtic influences. The Triskele was regarded as a lucky number and represented, among other things, the cycle of birth, blossom and end and thus a reference to the divine.

The Roman dolphin charm has a diameter of around 2.5 cm.
