The historical model for this Viking stave chain replica comes from Finland, but a very similar stave chain was also found in the Swedish Viking town of Birka.

The Viking stave chain has a small and a large hook so that it can be used to easily connect a brooch on the chest with, for example, a Viking needle case a key or toiletry set.
The chain measures 24 cm including the hooks and is thus long enough to hold any pendant attached to a fibula at about waist height, which was typical for the women's garments of the Viking Age.
The Viking stave chain is made of high-quality bronze or in real silver-plated.
If you would like the chain to be a little longer, we recommend that you simply buy an extra single bar chain link. It can be attached in no time at all with the help of two pointy pliers.
