The Viking stave chain has a small S-Hook and a larger omega-hook so that it can be used to easily connect a brooch on the chest with two pendants, for example, a Viking ear spoon and a pricker.
The Viking stave chain replica measures 24 cm including the hooks and is thus long enough to hold the pendants attached to a brooch at about waist height, which was typical for the women's garb of the Viking Age.
