This hand-knotted Viking chain is based on historical finds from the Viking Age and features a large and a small S-hook.Historical examples of such Viking chains can be found all over the areas of the Baltic Sea region and are known, for example from Gotland and Birka.
This Viking chain is ideal for hanging functional Viking pendants such as a needle box, tweezers or an ear spoon from the bowl brooches of the women's costumes, as it was usual in Viking times.
The Viking chain is completely handcrafted from rings of high-quality brass wire.
The chain rings have a diameter of 5.5 mm and a thickness of 1 mm.
The chain itselfe has a length of 33 cm. Including the two hooks, the Viking chain measures 37.5 cm, long enough to reach from a brooch hanging from the chest to the waist.
If you need a shorter or longer chain, you can easily buy a chain in cm intervals and the matching hooks separately.
