Authentic Viking knife.
This authentic Viking knife with a carbon steel blade was modelled on historical knives from the Viking Age, which were common in Scandinavia between 800 and 1100 AD.Small knives like this one, with a broad back and slim blade, were typical of the Viking Age and are still ideally suited to historical camp life and everyday use in Viking re-enactments.
The handle made of ash wood is well polished and oval-shaped and thus fits very well in the hand. It is also edged with several layers of brass and bone, which give this authentic Viking knife a particularly high-quality appearance.
The Viking knife comes together with a solid cowhide sheath.
The knife blade is made of 1095 high-carbon steel, a classic among knife steels, which is quite tough and can be sharpened very well, with a solid service life. The hardness is about 54 HRC Rockwell.
We recommend keeping the knife blade dry and treating it occasionally with a little oil to prevent any flash rust.
The Viking knife is sharpened and has the following dimensions:
Total length 20 cm
Blade length 9.5 cm
Blade width 2 cm
Blade back 3 mm
