A Viking knife from Hedeby / Haithabu.
Here you can buy an authentic Viking knife that was made after a find from the Viking town of Hedeby in Germany, also called Haithabu.Several small blades for Viking knives were found in Hedeby, that were shaped like a bowie knife. In fact, this blade shape is the most common found in Haithabu and is referred to as Type 6.
The knife blade is made of carbon steel 1085 and has a hardness of 55 - 58 HRC Rockwell.
Ash wood was most often used for Viking knives in Hedeby, and so this knife also has an ash wood handle that ends with a bone fitting towards the blade.
