Suspension for a Viking knife sheath.
This little bronze loop is used as a suspension for attaching a ring, chain or leather strap to a Viking knife sheath and is based on a historical model from Staraya Ladoga / Russia.Knife sheath suspensions of this type are also known from various places in the Viking Age, for example Birka or Gotland.

In addition to the attachment, our large Mounting Ring is very suitable as a connector for a leather strap or chain.
The suspension-loop measures 1 x 0.5 cm.
Made of high-quality bronze casting or real silver-plated.
A brass pin is included to attach the suspension to the knife sheath. To mount it, simply push it through the two holes and shorten it about 1 mm above the fitting with a side cutter.
Then you can simply tap the pin with a small hammer in circular motions and in this way permanently attach the fitting to the Viking knife sheath.
