Hanger for a Viking sheath.
This detailed replica of a hanger for an authentic Viking knife sheath was made after a find from Birka / Sweden.Several fittings for the belt loops of knife sheaths from the Viking Age are known, which were attached to the edge of a leather sheath to connect it to the belt.
The Viking sheath hanger measures 4.3 x 2 cm including the ring. The ring has 11 nm diameter.
Made of high-quality bronze casting or real silver-plated.
To attach the sheath hanger, a double-headed hollow rivet made of brass is included. To assemble, simply slip it on, put the cap on and then tap it tight with a small hammer.
For the loop, a brass pin is included for fastening, which is shortened approx. 2 mm above the fitting and then riveted in place with a small hammer in circular movements.
