This detailed replica of a sword chape / sword tip for a Viking Age sword is made according to a historical model in Jelling style from the 10th century.Jelling style sword chapes were particularly common in the Baltic region, but are also known from several other places. Sword tips of this type have also been found in England, Norway, Iceland and Finland.
