This replica of a Viking sword chape is a faithful reproduction of a historical sword tip from the Viking town of Hedeby and dates from the 10th to 11th century.The original scabbard fitting is now on display in the permanent exhibition of the Haithabu Viking Museum / Schleswig (Germany).
