Small Germanic knife from the Roman Iron Age.
This elegantly curved knife is based on the forged Germanic utility knives of the Roman Iron Age.The Germanic knife is forged from a single piece of steel and has a beautifully indented handle and a polished blade.
These small knives, forged from a single piece of steel, are often attributed to the Vikings and referred to as Viking knives. But historically this type of knife cannot be traced back to the Viking Age, but dates back several centuries earlier to the so-called Roman Iron Age.
