So-called Viking knife.
This elegantly shaped germanic knife from the Pre-Christian Iron Age comes with a twisted eating pricker - both masterfully forged by hand with an artfully crafted handle, with knife sheath.
Both parts, the Iron Age knife and the accompanying pricker, are forged by hand from a single piece of carbon steel each and are based on original Germanic finds from the post-Christian Iron Age.
The enclosed pricker is the forerunner of today's fork, which was still unknown to the Germanic tribes.
Such knives are often attributed to the Vikings, but historically this is not quite correct, as these knives do not appear at all in the Viking finds, but date back several centuries earlier.
