This knife crafting kit is an easy way to make a knife to your own and comes with material for the handle and a leather sheath.The blade of this knife crafting set is made of high-carbon steel 1095, a classic among knife steels, which is tough but very easy to sharpen and has a solid service life.
1095 is a not stainless unalloyed tool steel with a hardness of 52 - 56 HRC Rockwell and a carbon content of 0.90 to 1.03 % with a manganese content of 0.3 to 0.5 %. A blade made of 1095 carbon steel is hard, flexible and quite break-resistant.
However, we recommend keeping the knife blade dry and treating it occasionally with a little oil to prevent rust.
