This Viking chest hinge was forged by hand according to historical models from the Middle Ages.The Vikings used forged iron hinges for boxes and chests, as several finds of sea chests from the time of the Vikings prove.
The Viking chest hinge comes as a 14-piece set with a hasp, cramp, two hinges and ten nails for fastening.
The chest hinge set is very solidly made and 2 - 3 mm thick with a width of approx. 2.5 cm.
The length of the hasp and the two hinge parts is 14 to 15 cm.
The forged chest hinge has two square holes each with a diameter of 5 mm.
10 of our nails are included for fastening.
