Simple trammel hook in the style of the Middle Ages.
This type of hand forged trammel hook was not only used in the Middle Ages but as still in use well into the 19th century.The hand-forged hale is made according to medieval models and has eight holes in which the height of the kettle above the fire can be regulated.
To do this, simply lift the upper, right-angled handle slightly so that the hook locked in the hole is released and the kettle can be easily moved up or down along the trammel hook.
The trammel hook measures 27 x 2 cm and is 36 cm long when fully extended.
In heraldry, trammel hooks are often found on coats of arms and thus clearly show how important fire and hearth once were as the focal point of medieval life.
