Horn cutlery has been in traditional use in many countries for centuries. Unfortunately, the food certification required by the German legislator for this use according to the Foodstuffs and Commodities Act (Lebensmittel- und Bedarfsgegenständegesetz, LFBG) is very expensive, it would have a negative effect on the favourable sales price of our goods made of genuine horn. So we offer this ladle made of horn quasi only as a prop, which by definition is not certified for food.
