The Viking bone spoon replica measures: 15 x 4 x 0.5 cm.
In contrast to the spoons commonly used today, the Viking bone spoons were rather flat, as they were mainly used for porridge and groats because soups were drunk directly from the bowl.
Link to the original bone spoon...
At the time of the Vikings, horn and bone were used as a kind of counterpart for plastic, they were easy to obtain, easy to work with and versatile. Therefore, a large number of objects made of these horns and bones can be found in the households of the Viking Age.
Since the Viking bone spoon is made by hand and only in small quantities, it does not have food certification and is therefore virtually only offered as a prop that is not certified for food use.
