Here you can buy an authentic replica of the dress pin of Haithabu, faithfully crafted after an original find from the Viking Age.

At the time of the Vikings, it was common to use brooches and robe pins as well as brooches to close the cloak, and so this exact replica of the Haithabu dress pin is also an excellent alternative to the usual clasps of the time.

The original Haithabu robe pin was found during excavations in the harbour basin of the Viking town of Haithabu near Schleswig / Germany and dates back to the 10th century.

The Haithabu cloak pin is now on permanent display at the Viking Museum in Schleswig, near the former rampart of the Haithabu settlement.

Like our replica, the original Viking robe pin shows a detailed dragon's head, possibly representing the Midgard serpent - a wonderful accessory for authentic garb in the Middle Ages and Viking re-enactment.

You can buy the Hedeby dress pin in high-quality bronze or in real silver-plated.
