This medieval fitting with a Celtic dog motif from the Viking Age was made based on a historical find.The large medieval mount is simply ideal for studding historical leather accessories, e.g. as a decoration for bags and belts in medieval and Celtic re-enactment.

The Celtic dogs mount is made of cast zinc alloy and is available in brass or silver colour.
Dimensions: 4.5 x 4.5 cm
The Celtic dogs fitting has four 5 mm long pins on the back, onto which small caps are simply placed for fastening. This means that the fitting can be easily attached with a few light hammer blows.
Dogs were of great importance in Celtic culture, as they played an important role in Celtic life as protective and guard animals, but also as hunting companions. In Celtic stories and legends, dogs are also often companions of gods and heroes and sometimes even have magical healing powers or a connection to the Otherworld.
