The model for this Viking Age strap end was originally an almost 10 cm long tongue-shaped brooch and is now in the possession of the British Museum in London.The find dates to the 9th century.

The strap end is made of high-quality bronze and is also available in silver-plated.

As it is documented by historical examples, this Viking Age strap end also has four pins of 8 mm length on the back.
These are best bent slightly at the tip with round-nosed pliers and then simply tapped flat with a hammer.
