Magyar belt fitting in diamond shape.
This replica of a diamond-shaped belt fitting is based on a Magyar model from the Viking Age.Bronze belt fittings were typical of the splendid belt sets of the Viking Age and were worn especially by Rus and Magyars and in this way conveyed along the great trade routes as far as Scandinavia. This is why these belt fittings, often heart-shaped or diamond-shaped, are often found in Viking graves.
Link to the historical model...
The diamond-shaped belt fitting measures 2.5 x 1.2 cm.
Made of high-quality bronze and available in real silver-plated.
Fastening: There are two pins on the back of the bronze fitting. To fasten the belt fitting, simply insert them through the corresponding holes in the leather. Use pliers to bend the tip of the bronze pin inwards a little. If you then tap the pins flat with a hammer, the tip will sink into the leather and the bronze fitting will be stable and flat on the belt.
