Bronze studs were typical for the splendid belts of the Rus and Magyars and were passed on to the Vikings via the great trade routes to Scandinavia, which is why belt fittings are very often found in Viking Age graves.
The belt stud measures 1.5 x 1.4 cm.
The Viking belt stud is made of high-quality bronze and also available in genuine silver-plated.
Fastening: There are two pins on the back of the Viking bronze belt stud. To fasten the fitting, simply insert them through the corresponding holes in the leather. It is best to use pliers to bend the tip of the pin inwards a little. If you then tap the pins flat with a hammer, the tip sinks into the leather and the decorative rivet is attached to the belt in a stable and flat manner.
