Viking Age belt stud from Adelsö.
Replica of a Viking Age belt stud in Borre style, based on a historical model found on the Swedish island of Adelsö in Lake Mälaren.Link to the original belt stud...
Belt studs were very common during the Viking Age and are therefore frequently found in the finds of this period.
Especially among the eastern Vikings in Sweden, Gotland and Russia, belt sets with belt fittings were often worn and often given as burial objects.
The belt stud from Adelsö measures 2.2 x 1.8 cm.
The fitting is therefore suitable for belts with a width of 2 to 3 cm.
The Viking Age belt stud is made of high-quality bronze or in real silver-plated.
Fastening: There are three pins on the back of the Viking Age belt stud. To attach it, simply pass them through the holes in the leather. It is best to bend the tip of the pin inwards a little with a pair of pliers. If you then tap the pins flat with a hammer, the tip will sink into the leather and the Viking belt stud will be stable and flat on the belt.
