The expressive replica of a Roman legionary buckle is made after an original from Vindonissa/CH, dated to the second half of the 1st century AD.Roman belt buckles like this one were typical for the belts of the legionaries, which were called cingulum in antiquity. Such belt buckles are found in large numbers in Roman finds.
This Roman legionary buckle is made entirely of pure brass and has a movable rivet plate.
Suitable for the 4 cm wide belt.
Dimensions of the buckle: 7.5 x 4.5 cm.
The Roman buckle is delivered without pre-drilled holes for fastening to the belt strap.
You decide yourself where the buckle should be attached to the belt.
