Historical counter fitting for an Alemannic belt

This typical Alemannic counter fitting is made after a Merovingian model from Balingen in southern Germany from the 5th to 6th century, as it was typical for the Germanic belt fashion of the Alemannic.

Such counter fittings for the belt were very common in the costume of the Alemannic and Franks in the early Middle Ages and are the stylistically appropriate counterpart to the belt buckle.

The Alemannic counter fitting is available in brass or silver, made of zinc casting.

The counter fitting measures 6.5 x 3.3 cm and is suitable for belts 4 cm wide.

On the back of the Alemannic counter fitting there are three 5 mm long pins on which you simply place the small caps supplied and then fix the belt fitting to the belt with a few light hammer blows.
